This Week's Top Comments from Employee Engagement Surveys

describe the image

Here are this week’s employee engagement survey comments that stopped us in our tracks. These are actual comments submitted by actual employees during actual surveys. They are unedited. Enjoy…

  • WE NEED LESS DRAMA
  • Unrestrict the managers from performing some tasks that hamper their performance. [don’t worry, I had to read it twice too]
  • I wish there were bonuses given when you do a fantastic job on something or complete a task that goes above and beyond what you normally have to handle, especially when you put in extra hours just to get it done. I've banged out some pretty massive stuff and never received even $100 to recognize that I nearly killed myself getting it done, and that makes it difficult to want to kill myself when the next one comes up - to be completely honest. I understand there is a bonus program in place and that is supposed to reflect herculean efforts, but when you go balls to the walls in the middle of the year, it's hard to feel that your extra efforts will be fully recognized so many months later.
  • Block access to facebook during business hours.
  • Management needs to be less nice and make accountable those employees not pulling their weight.
  • There was significant discussion about investing in the organization through new tools, new equipment and additional staff. But the new equipment is being given out with an eye dropper.
